foxmonter, if Monitoring version is 1.4.2, I think it only works with Openfire 3.9.0
I've recently tried to do the same thing as you, and in the logs appeared the tip. I've downgraded Openfire to 3.9.0 and it worked. Although, I'm in trouble with the new messages now, as those messages are not being stored in the database, or at least can't see'em in the Monitoring plugin search.
